There was one issue discovered after release 21.02, but our engineering team quickly put out 21.02.1 to fix that. I can assure you that we absolutely test all new releases on our hardware. However, I would be interested to know what exactly you mean by "fails if you have any filtering packages".Īlso, you mentioned some downtime when trying to upgrade to 21.05, just curious - what version were you upgrading from? Multi-wan was fixed for pfSense plus with version 21.05. Have you tried a speed test on a default config with Gateway Monitoring Action disabled? I would start there and then see how the speed is different after adding back in your config. Granted I only have pfBlocker running at the moment. What speeds are you seeing? I am running a 3100 at home and I see ~850Mbps, although I rarely see reliable 1Gb from my service provider during the day. Sorry to hear you're having issues with your 3100. It's become blatantly obvious during the past few botched 3100 firmwares (one version even had to be disabled on the device) that netgate doesn't even test on this this device before they roll out new firmware or even care about supporting it! I bought this device because I wanted gigabit for my small home network but it's been such a disappointment. I'm sick of reimages and factory resets! This is your hardware! This BS and the tinkering reminds me of trying to get wifi to work on a Linux laptop 20 years ago!! Last night I tried to upgrade to 21.05 thinking it would be the answer, but my network was down for 2 hours of trying to restore connectivity yet keep my assortment of vlans and rules intact. Restoring is a tedious process that requires physical console access to the device with a USB cable. Next the upgrade process between firmwares will fail if you use multi wans or have any filtering packages installed. This device has not been able to pass gigabit traffic (despite STILL being marketed as such on the netgate website) since 2.4.5 ! Many people have complained but this has never been a bug that's been acknowledged by netgate! Please netgate, show us a sg-3100 running current firmware actually passing gigabit traffic!!! You can't!
